Job Title: Safety Coordinator
Location: Valdosta, GA
Job Type: Full Time - Temp job for about 6 months
Pay: $16.00
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Safety Coordinator to support administrative operations while promoting and maintaining workplace safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong clerical background along with hands-on experience in safety compliance, documentation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, recordkeeping, and document preparation
Maintain and update safety records, training logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation
Support safety audits and inspections by preparing necessary reports and follow-up actions
Assist in developing and distributing safety policies, signage, and training materials
Schedule safety meetings, trainings, and maintain attendance records
Serve as a point of contact for safety concerns or incidents; escalate issues as appropriate
Ensure all administrative and safety documentation is accurate, up to date, and stored properly
Collaborate with management and team leads to ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety standards
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a safety-related role
Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and reporting standards (e.g., OSHA)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion
Excellent communication and time-management skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; safety certifications a plus
